I use Meta Quest 2 and subtitles work fine when the video and subs are in the VR headset. However, subs don't work when they are streamed from PC via Skybox program. Is this the same thing that happened with early fisheye200 support, that at first they didn't work via network?
I hope this is easy feature since subs are coming popular quickly. The new language models and tools makes translating very easy, quick and free.
Anyone interested translating just download Subtitle Edit from github. In first start you need to install codecs so press "Yes" multiple times when asked. Then choose a video to translate "Open video file...", press "Audio to text (Whisper)..." and choose the language model they speak in the video (Whisper v2, 2.9GB is the best for JAVs) and download it. If want to translate subs to english just tap "Translate to english" and press Generate. For other languages press Generate and after it's done choose "Auto-translate..." and language you want. At the end save the subtitle file by pressing Save.
