Hello,
Sorry for the inconvenience!
Do you get the error code when you enter/refresh a SMB folder?
If so, we hope you can share with us the logs, so we can further investigate the issue.
Please go to SKYBOX's Global Settings, change the Logging Levels to "INFO", reproduce the issue, and then go to Global Settings, click the BUG icon in the upper-right corner, then send us a bug report attached with logs(tick the "upload logs" box).
After locating the causes of the issue, we'll fix it ASAP.
Lucy done. thanks
the issue happens after the last update…

I had the same issue, but I managed to resolve it. If you are using a Synology NAS with more than one Ethernet card, changing the settings in the configuration should fix the problem.
thanks, im on synology nas.
this issue happens only after the last update. crappy devs.
will take a look at this.

Hello,
We just released a new version 1.1.4(1630), which enhanced SMB stability. You can switch to the "v1.1.4: Release: 1.1.4" channel and see whether the SMB issue has been fixed.
Here're the steps to switch channel:
- Visit SKYBOX VR Player product detail page with browser or Meta Quest mobile app. (Make sure you login to your Facebook/Meta account)
- Find "Version + Release Notes" and select "v1.1.4: Release: 1.1.4"
- Uninstall and reinstall SKYBOX on your Quest.
Sorry again for the inconvenience caused. Let us know if you need further help.

Hello,
We released version 1.1.4(1644) in the channel("v1.1.4: Release: 1.1.4"). You should be able to install this version on your Quest 1. Please switch to the channel and have a try!
You can click SKYBOX's Global Settings and turn on Show FPS to check the version number. Reach out to contact@skybox.xyz if the SMB issue still remains.
Hi, I have the same error message but on WMR / Steam VR. I am running version 1.1.4-fix3. Any help would be appreciated.

Hello,
Could you please share with us your logs? Logs will record some information that helps us see what went wrong.
You just need to go to SKYBOX's Global Settings, change the Logging Levels to "INFO", reproduce the issue, then click the BUG icon in the upper-right corner of Global Settings, and send us a bug report attached with logs(tick the "upload logs" box).
It would be better if you can tell us your SMB configuration as well.
Lucy I replicated the problem and uploaded the logs as described.
I am using a Buffalo NAS, I provided and saved the credentials in Windows. In Windows, I can access the share just fine without login prompt. It does work when I create a symbolic link from one of the Windows folders but then it becomes very slow.

Hello,
Thank you for your reply!
Our developer checked the logs and there was error STATUS_ACCESS_DENIED , which indicates the client did not have the required permission needed for the operation.
Please make sure you have logged in as neither anonymous nor guest. The most recommended way is to disable anonymous login and create an account with password.

This keeps happening every now and then. Seems to be a permissions error, it shows no files on my shares.
To fix it, I create a new local user (no email) on Win10 with a simple password.
Then I go to my shared folder or drive and tell it to share with the new user and apply the change.
Then, in Skybox Network, I select the folder and it prompts me for a user and password, so I use the new one I just created and it works.
