Better browsing option for favourites?

HIya,
Absolutely love Skybox - it's my go to video player. The only issue I really have is with browsing favourites, with them just appearing in the very narrow right hand bar, with no filenames and tiny thumbnails makes it very hard to browse through the favourites.

It would be much more usable if favourites was an option in the left hand menu, which then brought them up in the main file browser where the thumbnails and filenames could be clearly seen. Is there any chance of this happening?

Actually the Favorites used to be its own separate Channel on the left, but given the low usage we got from our data, we removed it to the right side along with the History.
We are adding new channels to SKYBOX recently. I will try to see if it is possible to accommodate your need, but that will only happen if it also fits the interests of our majority users.

Andy With it on the history tab it's become worse than useless - it's actually quicker to manually browse to find the files in the directories by hand since it's impossible to read the filename or make out anything useful in the thumbnail.

Is it possible to just obtain an older copy of the apk from before you made this change? (or at very least provide the version number of the build where this change happened so I can find one myself?) I could understand making it possible to hide for people who don't use it, but can't see the logic in just removing it for everybody (especially when the code for it was already written - as a developer myself this baffles me, it's always better to make changes like this an option rather than a forced choice. User choice is more important than ever on platforms where users don't get any choice on the version of the software they receive.)

It seems madness that it's possible to add any random folder I want to the sidebar, but not have an option for favourites - I'm actually considering resorting to manually creating a favourites folder on my SD card and moving the files into it by hand from a file manager. Having to resort to manual file management surely can't be the optimum workflow

Andy As a follow-up, I've since managed to find a GearVR APK of version 1.6.2 from another website of unknown trust, but at least gives me back the functionality you stripped out (at the cost of losing my sorting options)

I would again ask that if you are not going to restore the feature you took away then at least provide a safe, trustworthy download of the apk for the last version before you took it away. Had I known you were going to strip out features I actually used then I would never have allowed the app to update in the first place, so providing a downgrade option is the least you can do to make up for the lack of notice.

Talking about favorites,

I'm using my Oculus Go to stream movies over WiFi from a NAS, and I can't find how Favorites work. Do you tag them yourself, and if so, how? The Favorites list on the right stays empty.

We are going to make the full file name appear when you hover over the files, so that you will be able to know what the contents of the Favorites list are.
Please see if that helps with your usage first.

Andy That's a small improvement, but still leaves the older versions as a far superior option for browsing your favourites, since the thumbnails are still functionally useless at that tiny size. (Especially since on the GearVR you can't even lean forward to get a better view of them)

It might work on a device which only has a small number of videos, but for a list of any size it rapidly becomes unworkable.
