Skybox player does not play ANY video suddenly

Have been able to play video fine for the last 6 months. Suddenly, when I go the my folder on the app, all the videos have broken video These videos play fine on other players. Would have been bothered if I hadn't paid for the app.

Resorted to factory resetting the entire device and reinstalling the app. put a video on it and it picked it up fine through problem was solved. Added some more and I go to open them and the same problem started over again - broken video thumbnail.

Anyone know what is causing this issue or is headset dead? still in warranty the device.

Any advise appreciated. Thank you!

I had similar problems transferring videos to the local storage on the Quest 2. Here's how I solved it. My theory is that Meta has changed the process for file indexing. It's now much slower and a number of videos from one website no longer load at all and auto-delete.

1.Turn inactivity setting to 15 minutes, so device doesn’t go into sleep mode before completely indexing.

Transfer file to device local storage and then let the device sit for 15 minutes even though the transfer only takes 5-10 minutes. If you open Skybox before the 15 minute window, the partially indexed file auto-deletes. Don’t even open settings because that might disrupt the indexing process.

tim545 One additional piece of info: the indexing was especially slow for Fisheye_190 degree and MKZ-200 degree videos.
