After updating to v1.1.3, the controller isn't visible at all when on the app so I can't select anything. I've tried deleting the app data, uninstalling and reinstalling the app, but nothing fixes the problem.

To be honest, we haven't reproduced the controller cursor issue. But we'll fix some controller-related issues in the next few updates.
You can temporarily revert to use v1.1.2. When a new fixed version is available, I'll keep you noticed.
