I have tried all kinds of ways to transfer files between my MAC MINI and the OCULUS device, and lately, nothing has been working consistently.
I have also tried accessing the MAC via the NETWORK option on SKYBOX. A few times I have gotten that to work, but I confess I do not know exactly what I am doing!
(When it does connect, I mean, when the SKYBOX app finds the public folder of the MAC MINI, I have to say it works beautifully - it plays the video files perfectly.)
So my question is: can anyone point me to a list of steps to get SKYBOX to find the public folder of the MAC MINI? (yes, I have double checked that both are connected to the same wi-fi network.)

steps for Skybox
- make sure mac mini is actually on and connected to wi-fi
- make sure OCULUS is actually on and connected to wi-fi
- make sure OCULUS is also connected to OCULUS APP on android phone (is this necessary? I am not sure!)
- On MAC MINI, make sure FILE SHARING is on and the file I want is in a folder that is included in the very specific list of folders being shared.
- then go to NETWORK option on SKYBOX.
and yet even when I do all of this, the MAC MINI share does NOT always turn up in the NETWORK tab on SKYBOX - it does NOT always show up! What am I doing wrong ? Am I missing something important?
