Could you please record a video capture of the playback speed bug? In this way, we can clearly know what happened. It would help us further look into the bug if you can share with us(contact@skybox.xyz) the "Log" folder (Quest 2\Android\data\xyz.skybox.player.ovr\files\Log).
Logs will record some error messages that help us see what went wrong and fix it. When you connect your Quest 2 to your computer through a cable, the "Quest 2" folder will appear on your computer.
Btw, please click Global Settings and turn on Show FPS to check the version number.
