Higher Quality video with Pigasus VR Media Player

Just bought the Quest Pro and the higher res has been real nice.

I do like Skybox since it doesn't crash like Pigasus does but I do notice that the 3d video quality is much lower with Skybox than with Pigasus for the same video file. Grainier, darker with video artifacts.

I also notice that skybox hasn't been updated for 8 months now. Any plans to update skybox to support higher resolutions and offer better quality videos on the Quest Pro?

We will add Overlay to make video clearer in the next update. Regarding the 3D playback quality (grainier, darker with video artifacts), could you please share with us(contact@skybox.xyz) one 3D video? We'd like to test the video to further investigate and try improving the quality in the next few updates.

I'm afraid I cannot but I think the grainy, darker, artifacts effects are with all 3d movies and I'm not sure if it is because of quest pro or if it was always this way since Quest 2. But most recently I re-watched some of my favourites to test out my new Quest Pro. Movies like Hugo 3d and Hercules under Skybox and I thought "meh" and of course Pigasus crashed a few times just by navigating to the NAS folders but eventually I got there and started up "Hugo 3d" and "Hercules" and the difference was like the quote "night and day"' it was like watching a 4k TV. or at least a 1080p one and yes I do have some cough adult movies that goes up to 8k in res and ... well never mind, lets just say the resolution is unbelievable. I guess you will need to get your own 3d movies + pigasus + Quest Pro to test and compare and while you are at it, add a pause with the bottom controller trigger. Your app has always been my favourite movie app but pigasus over the year has improved to the point that it doesn't crash during the playing of a movie and only crashes while navigating directories and skipping around in movies. Your app has been reduced to the go to 2nd app for now; when pigasus crashes.... but I do look forward to seeing your improvements in the future. By the way your app was my killer app for the original Quest as 3d movies was my main reason for buying all the incarnations of Quest VR. Keep up the good work.
