I've been looking into ways to manage and organize the app library on the Oculus Quest 2, especially for those who share their headset with others or want a tidier interface. Here's a summary of the methods I found:
Manually Select the 'Installed' Apps Filter:
- Use the 'Installed' filter in the library to show only installed apps.
- You can make this filter the default from the Personalization settings in the Quest 2.
Use Pi Launcher for More Control:
- Pi Launcher, a third-party app sideloaded via SideQuest, offers a better organization.
- It hides uninstalled apps by default and allows categorization and hiding of apps.
- You can set Pi Launcher to automatically boot up with the headset or launch it using a shortcut.
Use Different Accounts for Privacy:
- Create a secondary account on the headset to separate your apps from others.
- App sharing can be enabled or disabled based on whether you want to share your purchases.
Contact Oculus Support for Removal:
- For a more permanent solution, contact Oculus Support to remove specific games/apps from your account.
- This method can be used to remove unwanted demo titles or App Lab games.
While there's no official way to hide or completely remove apps from the Oculus Quest 2 library, these methods provide workarounds for better managing your VR space. Feel free to check out my post for more details on any of these solutions!
