    Hello,

Did you get any error messages when playing the 7K 10bit videos?

We tested a few 7K 10bit videos and they was playable. If possible, please share with us one unplayable video file for further investigation.

    All the best,
    Lucy

Lucy There are no error messages. After starting the video the screen will be dark for, say 30-60sec and then audio would start to play and there is sometimes a frame or two of video, say one frame every 4 sec. Sometimes it would crash Skybox.
I'll see if I can find some examples I can share.

        Hello,

It would be better if you can share with us one video for testing.

Besides, please open SKYBOX on your Quest 2 and click "Global Setting" at the bottom of the main menu to check the version number.

If you're using version 1.0.5, please go to this page, scroll down to find the "Version" information and click the down arrow to switch to beta 1.1.0.

Note that you need to login your Facebook/Oculus account first on that web page and reinstall SKYBOX on your Quest 2 after changing version on the web page.

Hope that helps. Let us know if you have any other problems.

        All the best,
        Lucy

I tried Pigasus and not only do all the videos work, but I also found other functions working that the Skybox devs did not want to implement, like DLNA favorites.
That said I find it highly unpolished and lacking some critical features and would rather stick with Skybox, but a video player is useless if it can't play videos.

            Hello,

Regarding the unplayable issue, can you share with us one sample video and your log files to contact@skybox.xyz?

The log files are located in Quest 2\Android\data\xyz.skybox.player.ovr\files\Log. You need to connect your Quest 2 to your PC through a cable, then the "Quest 2" folder will appear on your PC.

Our developer needs to check your log files to further locate the causes and get your problem fixed. It would be better if you can share with us a sample video that cannot be played on SKYBOX.

Plus, you can post your requests and vote for the features you want on our trello board and forum. We'll take your feedbacks seriously and keep you updated if there're any news about them.

            All the best,
            Lucy

Hi there, thanks for sharing the test video. It stutters on beta version 1.1.0 (510) but plays smoothly on our next beta version 1.1.0 (515). I'll keep you noticed when the next version releases.
