Contacted via a support ticket, thought I'd post it here too.
I haven't used this app on my Quest 2 for a while, but after recent updates, it's having trouble accessing some SMB directories in my computer.
To elaborate, I have a Mac that serves a SMB server, all of its files are shared within the LAN for administrative users such as myself. I have never got any problem accessing all my files from any other apps or devices, from a Windows PC, Android phone/TV, iPhone, iPad, you name it. Skybox VR app in the past didn't have any problem doing that as well, but after recent updates, after entering credentials of admistrative users, it still only has access the home directory on my Mac (~), none of the other volumes are listed! This is very important to me because I have high-capacity external hard drives attached that store all my media files. I could copy the files I wanted to play to my home directory, but that is such a hassle I want to avoid, besides, it would wore out SSD unnecessarily.
To repeat myself, none of my other devices or apps are having this problem, not even previous versions of your Skybox VR app, so it must be something in this app. Maybe the SMB code was rewritten or a different SMB library was used? Anyways, please investigate and fix!
By the way, don't bother mentioning AirScreen to me. I tried it, it just crashes all the time because of the sheer volume of my media library, even when it's not crashing, listing stuff in the VR app is very slow. Just fix SMB please.
